This 1942 Harley-Davidson WLC was based on the company’s contemporary civilian model WL and was produced to Canadian Army specifications during the WWII era. The bike is powered by a 45ci flathead V-twin paired with a hand-shifted three-speed transmission and has been refinished in green with chrome trim and yellow wire-spoke wheels. Features include a skirted black leather solo saddle, an engine guard, drum brakes, a springer fork, valanced fenders, a tombstone taillight, a two-into-one exhaust system, a fishtail muffler, and a side stand.

The bodywork has been refinished in green over a black frame. Bright trim includes the fender strips and tips, front fender light, tombstone taillight, teardrop toolbox, and engine guard as well as a winged bar-and-shield electric horn mounted beneath a Cycleray headlamp. Additional features include a front-hinged solo saddle with a black leather skirt, footboards with black rubber treads, a side stand, and valanced fenders, the rear of which is hinged.

Wire-spoke 18″ wheels are painted yellow and wrapped in older Avon Roadrunner tires that show sidewall cracks. Suspension consists of a springer fork with adjustable ride control as well as a spring in the seat post. Braking is provided by a drum at both ends.

A chrome cat-eye console housing a 120-mph speedometer and an ignition switch sits atop the tank assembly between chrome filler caps for fuel and oil. Additional features include a friction-plate steering damper with a chrome adjustment lever and as well as black in-line handlebar equipped with a twist-grip spark advance on the left and a twist-grip throttle and a front brake lever on the right. The five-digit odometer shows 32000 km

The 45ci side-valve flathead V-twin was rated at 24 horsepower when new and features a Linkert M88 carburetor, a chrome air cleaner cover, a kick starter, and a black-finished two-into-one exhaust system with a chrome fishtail muffler.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a hand-shifted three-speed transmission with a foot clutch as well as a drive chain with a black guard.
